Accessing the Holdings:

The Gottfried von Einem Archive can be used by everyone, within the restrictions set by the protocol of the Archive of the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde [Society of Friends of Music] in Vienna and the existing legal regulations (especially copyright regulations). The reading room of the Archive of the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde is open between October and June (except for December 24th-January 6th and Easter week) Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 9am-1pm. To get the best possible service, alerting the Archive of your visit is advisable. Insofar as the legal regulations allow it, photographic reproductions of any kind, including photocopies, may be made. Further information can be obtained in writing at the following address:
